Rees's Roots - Wendover Will Neon Sign Nevada

Our latest road trip took us on a journey through the rugged landscapes of Nevada, where we discovered an iconic piece of Americana: the Wendover Will neon sign. Standing tall at the gateway to Wendover, NV, this towering cowboy is more than just a roadside attraction – he's a symbol of the spirit and history of the American West.

A Glimpse into the Past

Wendover Will was erected in 1952, and at the time, he was the largest mechanical neon sign in the world. Standing 63 feet tall and adorned with over 1,184 feet of neon tubing, Will originally welcomed visitors to the Stateline Casino. While the casino is long gone, Wendover Will remains, serving as a nostalgic reminder of the golden age of road trips and neon signs.
